Another above normal temperature day in December is always a treat. A good day to get some outside work done without freezing or to enjoy a walk through the woods. This tree looks a little creepy with arms ready to grab you.

As the night approaches, I hope the predicted strength of the Aurora storm watch will hold true so I can see the northern lights tonight or tomorrow night. Although my tiny frozen pond will not reflect the colorful lights as it would on Lake Superior, which I had the chance to witness a few years ago.

The fog overnight created some frost on these white pine needles and decorated them for the winter season but I was glad the frost melted by noon.
