The wind was lighter today than the past few days so the waves have lessen on Lake Superior but the forecast has stronger gusts again on Sunday which will likely bring back the Gales of November.

November is National Model Railroad Month and on a cold, blustery winter day, playing with model train indoors might be a nice treat. The amazing detail and hours that people put into their work can create a wonderful mini-world where life moves along the tracks. This model train set is in the Bayfield Heritage Association in Northern Wisconsin and depicts a historic snapshot of Bayfield including the industries of sandstone quarrying and logging.

My wanderings on back roads often have me stopping to take a photo of an old barn. And sadly, many of the barns I have photographed over the years no longer exists so it is a wonderful surprise to run across a barn years later with a new coat of paint. This one also received a new roof since the last time I saw it six years ago.
