The sun was out briefly today to sun on the colored leaves before a light rain shower moved in, but the rain is better than the snow prediction for Friday.
With the day almost reaching 80, it was a nice day to enjoy the autumn colors before the storm front comes through and bringing days with highs in the 40s instead. Although the strong winds are causing a lot of the colorful leaves come off the trees already.
Although the day started out below freezing, it did warm briefly to 60 degrees to be able to enjoy some outdoor activities, like a hike along a cascading waterfall with the leaves turning their autumn colors.
While today was chilly with the high only 45 degrees and places in Wisconsin had some snow, the winds were calmer than yesterday’s strong gusts which created some different white in the form of waves on Lake Superior.
While walking through the woods looking up at the colored leaves as well as looking down at the red leaves already fallen, there might be another red object on the ground like these red colored toadstools.
Although it didn’t quite reach 70 degrees along the shore of Lake Superior today, the wind was lighter so serious rock hunters could wander out into the water looking for the perfect agate.
