The tree limbs were still coated with ice this morning, but by afternoon when the sun was out, some of the ice started to fall off and I got hit by falling ice when I was filling the bird feeders.

The forecast has freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning but I definitely don’t want to see anymore ice here. I rather have to visit the ice caves on the shore of Lake Superior to see icy tunnels and ice formations and not the slick ice on my driveway.

The way the birds were eating the sunflower seeds during the snow storm, they might have to drop a few more seeds on the ground that the squirrels don’t find so some more sunflower heads are grown for the next winter season.

I had some big waves on my lawn and house roof but the waves were in the form of snow drifts and not lake waves. although I rather be sitting by the lake in the summer watching the waves roll in than shoveling through the snow drifts.

The sun peeked out for a while this afternoon and with temperatures just above freezing, some people may have ventured out to check out the winter scenes, like frozen waterfalls and snow covered sandstone gorges, but I was tired of slipping on the ice so I didn’t spend any extra time outside.
