While I was exploring a state park for wildflowers, some wild blueberries were discovered which critters, like bears, haven’t found and eaten yet.

The summer dry conditions have reduced the water flow of the Amnicon River and visitors to the park can cross the river without the need of the bridge. Rains this week, and especially today, have filled my pond causing it to overflow and instead of people playing in the flowing water, a doe with her fawns were splashing around in my overflow running water.

The iron ore dock at Superior, Wisconsin, is very busy right now, but with loading out of one elevator only, there are three freighters waiting outside the harbor as the fourth gets loaded.

There are chances of thunderstorms today and you can see them coming across the lake easier than where there are trees and houses in the way. This storm looks like there is a funnel cloud forming so might be a nasty storm.

The local county fair winds down for the year today, but there are still mini donuts, cotton candy, and corn dogs to eat and a few carnival rides to go on before the carnival moves on to the next county fair.
