The snow glories popping up on my lawn might not be covered in snow like some years, but they sure got wet this evening and some of them might even have been burnt from the frequent lightning strikes.
Snow Glories Not in Snow
I think Mother Nature played the April Fools’ Day trick with its deceiving sunshine. On Monday it was warm enough that I could open my windows for the first time this spring, but this morning the temperature was 14 and the wind chills stayed below freezing most of the day. The sunshine made it look warm but it fooled you when you went outside.
Not So Warm
Today was 30 degrees colder than yesterday so it didn’t feel very warm outside especially with the wind blowing, but hopefully later in the week will be warmer so I can get the bird houses cleaned up before the bluebirds return. The female is checking up on the male bluebird to see if he is picking out a good house for her.
