This little falls is the top drop of the Twin Falls before the wider and taller plunge of Larson Creek, but at the moment I have more water overflowing from my little pond than the waterfall due to several rainy days.

The day was a wet one, between the rain and the mist, keeping everything on the soggy side. Even spiderwebs were saturated with moisture as the little drops hung from the tiny silks making them look like pearl necklaces. .

On a calm misty morning, these sailboats were still in the water and their image reflected in the water but by the next morning, they were swaying in the strong wind as they creaked against the decks.

The sun was hiding again today so some leaves and flowers provided the missing yellow colors. Although these yellow common tansy provide pretty color in the fall, they are another invasive species from Eurasia. Tansy has a long history of use. It was first recorded as being cultivated by the ancient Greeks for medicinal purposes. It is also known as bitter buttons, cow bitter, or golden buttons.

I am not too sure too many critters are enjoying this cool and damp October week, even this otter sounded like it had the sniffles as it made its way up river.

The sunshine looked very deceiving since the strong breeze and low temperature had the wind chills below freezing, but it still was nice to be the first to the beach area after a storm seeing no tracks in the sand. At least no human prints as there was bird tracks of various sizes in the wet sand.

The waters of Lake Superior normally feels very cool and refreshing but today the 60 degree water temperature was warmer than the air temperature, but I still rather enjoy the lake from shore and find warmer water from my shower instead.

A walk through my woods had a bunch of little critters upset with me. The chipmunks were chirping and this squirrel was chattering at me since I interrupted its acorn gathering activity.

As the fall days continue, the soybeans are drying and waiting to be harvested. Soybeans have an average close to three seeds in each pod.
