As the sun rose this morning, the top of the trees glistened with frost while the limbs and ground sparkled with a fresh coating of snow. The frost blew upward in the air filling the sky with crystals as well as the ground.

March came “In Like A Lion”, or at least roared in like a cat since more snow fell again today but at least not as cold as they are predicting in the upcoming days. Hopefully March will go out like a lamb or better yet if the lamb like weather came next week.

February may be the shortest month, but it was long on snow. A record setting snow amount of 53.7 inches fell in Eau Claire for the month. Many road banks are piled very high which makes it hard to see oncoming vehicles at corners. This cliff on the shore of Lake Superior is like the snow banks as it hides what is around its corner.

The wind has created drifts and ripples in the snow which could look like waves on a lake, but there isn’t any warm sandy beaches yet since they are buried under several feet of snow.

The snow drifts are making it hard to get around and they are blocking access to areas and buildings. With the snow falling again today, soon you wouldn’t know what color this shed is as it will be completely covered by snow.

The blizzard this weekend made it hard to see very far as well as creating large drifts. I rather see a summer storm which can hide a lighthouse and creates waves on the water since normally it is warmer weather and you are not stuck not fighting with snow for weeks.

It wasn’t fun clearing the driveway when the strong winds filled snow back in due to the blizzard conditions which whipped the snow around causing big drifts which even snowplow trucks couldn’t get through. The snow danced across the landscape and the trees became white again.

More snow is falling from the sky tonight and earlier snow was falling off my roof as I tried to rake some of the deep snow off. If the weather ever warms up, there will be a lot of water running. But right now when I am inside my house, it looks like I am at the bottom of the waterfall as the snow is piled too high to see out of my windows.
