The sunshine today helped the temperature get above freezing, but some of the roads are still have snow on them with bare trees lining the ditches. An autumn season road is warmer and more colorful to view.
Watching more snowflake falling today had me wishing that it was a month earlier and it was leaves falling into the flowing water instead of those cold white flakes.
As the new month starts, most of the trees have lost their leaves as winter approaches, but it was a good day to catch a nap in the sunshine while the temperature was in the upper 60s.
While I was mulching the fallen leaves today, others may have been enjoying a warm Sunday viewing the autumn colors before they disappear from the wind gust this afternoon.
This late Saturday in October reached the 70s so it was a great day to get some last minute yardwork done or to hike some trails at a park to view the last of the autumn colors.
There are a few bright colorful autumn leaves yet, but they are harder to find as the season is past peak in many counties in the state already, so the green and red leaf color combination will have to been seen next season.
The dog looks as sad as I am that the leaves are falling off the trees with a morning that was chilly 20 degree and stayed in the thirties most of the day.
Instead of hiking the trails this Sunday, a trip in a vehicle with the heat on may be a better way to view the autumn colors since the wind chill was barely above freezing most of the day.
