This old barn has seen a lot of sunsets, but its sunsets might be numbered as the side boards are already gone and its useful days are gone.
Sunset Barn
This barn seems a bit sad. Maybe it is sad because there is still snow this late into April. Or maybe it is sad because it is remembering ANZAC day, a day celebrated day remembering the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. ANZAC Day’s motto is ‘Lest We Forget’.
So let us remember all veterans worldwide, especially the veterans in Australian and New Zealand on their celebration day, but also all the other sacrifices made by policemen, fireman, farmers and others that protect us, provide services and goods that allow us to enjoy our existence in this world.
Lest We Forget
The sun came out today and while the ground is still white, at least the sun brightens what color there is and it is nice to see blue sky again. But that did mean a nippy night as there was no clouds to hold the heat in but that is the price you have to pay for a clear sky in the winter.
Red Cow Barn
To end the ‘red barn’ week which should have ended yesterday with the seventh red barn so this is a bonus barn for the red barn week, but then this barn at first glance doesn’t seem like it would qualify as a red barn. Weather and time has removed most of the red paint and former crispness that this old barn once would have showcased. It is very rustic, just not very red anymore.
