This cat gets to sleep in on a Monday morning and I wish I had that option instead having to head to work.

Besides me, the cats seem to be enjoying the temporarily lack of snow in December so they can roll around on dirt instead of snow and I wouldn’t mind a brown Christmas if it means less shoveling snow this month.

I’m not sure what my cat, Trouble, is trying to convey on this warm Sunday afternoon. Maybe he wants some more catnip.

“March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb” is one weather proverb, although while there was snow today, at least it wasn’t a major storm so maybe March came in like an angry house cat and not a lion. But hopefully it definitely will go out like a lamb.

With another day staying below freezing, the ground is cold but I don’t know if the fence board is any warmer for the cat’s feet or not.

Twenty years ago today, my cat Dutch was born and while he is no longer living, he was one those cats that leaves a lasting memory. He reminded me of the Simon’s Cat cartoon trying to wake his master up. When Dutch woke in the morning, he wanted you up and would turn on my clock radio (which the on button was the tenth of the size of the off button). And when that didn’t work, he would go out to the kitchen and start throwing stuff off the counter.
