You often see dogs jumping through piles of leaves, but cats also enjoy chasing the falling leaves and messing up the raked piles (as well as catching the rake too).
Sunkist and Tropicana
A few days ago, Tippy, the star of my children’s book died. Every cat has a different personality and I think Tippy’s was warped from birth when a dog carried her around in its mouth. She wanted to be close to me, but not cuddly even though I bottled fed her when she was only eight days old. She didn’t like it when I was gone overnight or if I locked her out of the den so I could work in peace and she showed her displeasure by pooping in my bathroom sink!
Tippy (6/19/07 – 3/9/17)
With a sunny afternoon which was finally above freezing, my cats enjoyed venturing out into the snow. They actually had too much fun as Stripe took off across the snow faster than I could and she would to the little hop and skip (plus a smirk) whenever I got close to catching her.
Kitty Winter Adventure
With the temperature climbing into the teens after lunch, my cats enjoyed the warmer conditions to play in the snow. Trouble, my male, was the great hunter as he tried to stomp on the mouse under the snow, but the ‘fearless’ male jumped back whenever the mouse squeaked and so the mouse didn’t have anything to worry about.
