I have spotted some rabbits chasing each other on the lawn and some little bunnies too this past week. This one played possum when I got too close and waited until I moved off farther before it continued its eating.

This morning when i was leaving for work, I spotted a rabbit in the ditch. Since it froze when I approached, I don’t know if it was going to cross the road to munch on the neighbor’s crop or eat my grass instead.

This rabbit was eating between two pine trees but it flattened down when it spotted me hoping that I wouldn’t notice him. I was nice and didn’t chase him away today since yesterday I scared it with the lawn mower.

It was a very warm Sunday afternoon for the bunnies to play in the yard, but on my way to church in the morning I spotted deer on the road instead of cottontails. Guess the Easter bunny was playing elsewhere as I didn’t see him today.

The lack of snow on the ground had some rabbits playing (or flirting) in my yard until they had to freeze and hold their position when I got too close to them. I imagine I will discover some little bunnies later this spring.

One patch of my wild roses did not come back this year so maybe the increased number of rabbits running around my lawn is the cause like the declining roses folklore implied.

The Easter Bunny might not be able to hide its eggs in the snow, but even though Easter is later this year, he still won’t be able to snack on clovers after his work is done since the snow just melted.

This evening a deer wandered up between my two cats but neither of the cats were interested in deer eating grass since there was also a rabbit there too. Apparently a bunny look more appealing for a capture than a long legged deer.
