With the temperatures dropping to single digit overnight and only warming a few degrees by noon, the frost patterns still were clinging to door window glass. I like how they seem to grow in all different shapes.
Another night of freezing fog added another layer of frost on the trees as the day remained cloudy again. With more cloudy days in the forecast, the skies might not clear enough for me to see the comet passing by that last visited about 50,000 years ago.
The sun made it appearance for a few hours in the morning to highlight the new frost that formed overnight. If you were under the branches when the wind picked up, you could think it was actually snowing as the frost fell.
The morning dawned to another very frosty morning, but at least the only snow falling was the frost dropping off the tree branches when the sun warmed up the trees.
