The back side of these rustic buildings are on the water edge of the Cornucopia’s marina where commercial fishing boats as well as sailboats pass by on the water.

Although it was above freezing today, it felt cold with the wind so it wasn’t a day to go boating on a Sunday afternoon, especially since many of the boats are still frozen in ice.

Mother Nature has been rather cruel to Northern Wisconsin this spring since when there is even a hint of spring arriving, more than a foot of new snow blankets the ground again. And Duluth, MN has set the fifth snowiest winter and with more snow predicted tonight, they might make number four.
I don’t know if spring will ever come before winter starts again and even my ducks must have headed south again as they didn’t like the snow.

Apparently one of the sea gulls heard about the snow that is coming and is as disgusted as I am. The older two are probably like the people who can’t wait to get their snowmobiles out on trails. I prefer some more fall days first.

The full harbor a month ago is emptying out fast with the approaching winter as it is a little difficult to sail a boat on the ice unless they put ice skates on the boat.
