With an 80-degree day this late into September, it was a perfect day to goof off and enjoy a beach, even wading into the chilly Lake Superior waters looking for that perfect pretty rock.

It was interesting watching two small dogs at the beach last week. One dog didn’t go near the water and didn’t like the sand much either as it was queen like and didn’t want to get dirty. The other dog enjoyed the beach experience and loved the water as it went in even without a stick to retrieve.

Being out on the waters of Lake Superior on a warm Sunday summer day would feel colder, but I’m not sure I would trust having someone on the paddle board with me because if they wiggled too much, I probably would fall off and the frigid waters would be too refreshing for me.
