Long after dark I heard noises outside and when I looked out, the field across the road had a large combine harvesting the corn so this will be the last sunset picture over the corn field until next summer.
Sunset over Corn Field
The air has been drier this week, so less clouds in the sky, but the airplane vapor trails can lead to interesting patterns in the sky. I wonder if there is a treasure under the X and what the treasure could be. One would find colored leaves for a few more days at least and the rest of nature’s beauty.
X Marks the Spot
Since it is Sunday, a picture of a rural church just might be the appropriate picture for today. The sunset the other night wasn’t very speculator but instead the clouds to east collected the pink glow from the setting sun. I always love the hue the setting sun puts on the landscape and fields.
Rural Church on Pink Evening
After I left the area where I was shooting photographs of the barn and headed home, the skies turned dark but no rain. Later in the evening I figured there would be a nice sunset since there were clouds in the sky but I was wrong since the sun was mostly buried by the clouds. But when I looked behind me, I found color in the clouds to the east as they were catching the glow of the sunset.
Clouds Catching Sunset Glow
Even though I posted a sunset picture a few days ago, I figured this sunset was a good choice for a Sunday. Later the clouds changed into different and interesting formations (one even squarish with two eyes and a mouth like Spongebob but that was too frightening of a picture for a Sunday morning!).
