The Snow Moon did bring a heavy layer of that white stuff and as the sun set on the new snow, the moon rose again to brighten the white ground as night fell.
Some areas this evening did not have a pleasant sunset as tornadoes had filled the skies instead causing damage to buildings and trees. Maybe the upcoming week will be quieter for those areas which have been hit hard by storms.
The day started cloudy with the rain skirting by tot he south and the sun appeared in the late afternoon. Although a few rain clouds moved back in by evening as a few sprinkles landed on me as I was trying to capture the sunset.
Morning revealed new snow drifts and it was harder to shovel since it was heavy snow. The long winter has me dreaming of sitting on a beach where the water isn’t frozen and sand instead of snow.
The groundhog was a bit off on his early spring prediction with record setting low highs today so the piles of snow didn’t have much of a chance to melt much even with the sun out on this cold March Sunday.
