Another night of freezing fog added another layer of frost on the trees as the day remained cloudy again. With more cloudy days in the forecast, the skies might not clear enough for me to see the comet passing by that last visited about 50,000 years ago.

The morning dawned to another very frosty morning, but at least the only snow falling was the frost dropping off the tree branches when the sun warmed up the trees.

The trees which had shook the snow from their limbs yesterday where coated again in white from the frost this morning. The sun later in the day melted some of the frost but the landscape still remained rather white.

The trees were coated with ice and heavy wet snow and it wasn’t just pine tree limbs touching the ground this morning. It was no fun shoveling all the heavy snow again but at least no high winds.

With another 8 inches of snow overnight, my poor trees are hanging down even more and the top is tipping over with the weight of the snow. Even the birds are scared to land on the snow laden branches and they have to fly inside to the center of the tree to find a branch without snow to perch on.
