It wasn’t fun clearing the driveway when the strong winds filled snow back in due to the blizzard conditions which whipped the snow around causing big drifts which even snowplow trucks couldn’t get through. The snow danced across the landscape and the trees became white again.

The trees are bare again as their frosty covering melted from the sun and with temperatures above freezing, but they probably will be coated again several more times until leaves are covered in leaves instead of frost.

The missing object in the sky finally made its appearance and the sunshine and blue sky highlighted the frosty trees. But with the sun rays, the frost melted off the trees, at least for a few hours anyway until another layer of frost is added overnight.

It was even a grayer (or whiter) out this morning and stayed that way all day with the extra layer of frost covering most everything. To me, the frosty trees stand out more if there is blue skies and sunshine but the sun failed to appear today to shine on the hoarfrost. It looked like someone got carried away in flocking trees for Christmas.

The bare trees are noticeable against the colors of the setting sun, whenever the November days allow the sun to make an appearance and the sky is not filled with snowflakes.

Above average temperatures and clear skies made a nice day for exploring the outdoors, at least once the fog finally lifted by mid-morning, to reveal more than just gray landscape.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires has caused the sky to be covered like thin clouds, dimming the sun during the day and causing a red sun ball morning and night the past week. Today real clouds moved in but the smoke smell is still in the air since there hasn’t been any rain yet to wash the smoke particles out.

Although it rain today, no rainbows appeared in the sky. Sometimes I get water drops on camera lens when trying to capture a rainbow and a wet shirt too.

The trees were covered with ice and snow this morning. The sidewalks and roads were slippery with the ice too as winter continues to hang on.

It was supposed to be a little warmer today, but even with the sunshine, it didn’t feel like it. Maybe if the temperature gets close to freezing in a few days, it will make a better day to take a hike through the snow.
