It is a good thing the flowers haven’t come up yet as they would have been covered in snow again plus the day was below freezing so the blossoms would be turning blue in the cold.
April showers bring May flowers. Hopefully the rain showers will bring some flowers, but at least today’s rain took some more of the snow away as I wait for the new blossoms.
During the gray days of November, any splash of color is welcomed and there are some hardy violas near the house which have survived multiple freezing nights to display some smiley faces.
The sunshine was bright on the new snow causing the snow pack shrunk a few inches. The forty degree day made it feel almost springlike but with several feet of snow on the ground, there are no spring flowers to be found yet.
The temperature tried to get above freezing today, but the snow hasn’t melted yet so there no blooming flowers to be found outside as spring hasn’t arrived yet.
