It definitely did not look like spring this morning as the heavy snow weighted down the tree branches and some limbs snapped off. The snow was around fifteen inches in the backyard when I went to clear the snow off the bird feeders.
People hiking to Lost Creek this weekend might spot the green ferns that I saw last week. It seemed strange to see the patches of green plants growing in the snow covered ground.
The milkweed pods are mostly empty but a few still had a few seeds which hasn’t flown yet, although it would be hard to spot the white seed floss hairs that land on the snow.
Mother Nature played a very nasty trick for Halloween by covering the ground with that shite stuff. I rather had a nice treat of a warm sunny day but that didn’t happen.
Morning revealed a new white coating of snow and I saw some geese heading south again and I bet the flowers that started to bloom wish they waited a few more weeks before emerging during the false spring.
