It looks like this chickadee is praying that the snow would stop since the bird feeders keep getting covered with that white stuff which hides the bird seed.
The trees were coated with ice and heavy wet snow and it wasn’t just pine tree limbs touching the ground this morning. It was no fun shoveling all the heavy snow again but at least no high winds.
It was another gray day but the trees had a white coating of frost this morning and without the sun or much wind, the frost remained on the branches when it started to snow this afternoon.
A second day above freezing temperatures helped to shake loose most of the snow off the tree limbs and a lot of the icicles on the roof line began to fall off.
With the blizzard conditions today, the birds had to sneak to the feeders when wind gusts weren’t as strong so they could find the feeders in the blowing snow.
