These kittens rarely sit still long enough to take a picture except when they are napping after their playtime and using my legs as climbing posts.
Triple Terrorizing Trouble
A number of mothers will receive flowers from their children today and moms will love us even if we bring them a bouquet of dandelions! Some years we would walk down to the woods and look for wildflowers and there are many varieties open right now, even some bleeding hearts in the yard.

Today was a nice spring day and there were calves kicking up their heels if not napping in the sunshine. But this calf isn’t kicking up his heels yet since he had a rough entrance to the world being an upside down breech birth and we were surprised, as was the vet, that the calf was still alive after the long delivery, so my niece named him Miracle.

A brief moment of sun through the storm clouds allowed a rainbow to form in the sky but it didn’t last long so I didn’t get to the pond in time to catch the reflection in the water. I might have reached my destination if I didn’t have to stop so many times to wipe the raindrops off the camera lens but at least the camera stayed drier than I did as the storm continued to rumble and released another downpour.
Brief Rainbow
Although not native here, the Siberian Squill has become an invasive plant after brought to this country as an ornamental flower. Its very hardy and cold tolerant traits as well as being untouched by voles and deer has allowed it to infest large areas, even if it is a pretty blue flower.
