The rain overnight would have added a little more water to the streams so with the sunshine this afternoon, it was a good day for an autumn hike along a river, especially if near a cascading waterfall.

Although the winds were really gusting today, they were not so bad in the woods so it made a nice day to hike along a creek bed as it was being decorated by falling leaves.

Although it was cooler today, the sun was out and made for a great day to take a Sunday drive or a walk in the woods looking at the autumn leaves. And under the arms of this old oak tree on a hill, you can sit on the bench and look across the valley at the fall foliage like the statue of Mary is doing.
