There was a brief snow shower that dropped huge flakes from the sky today, but in six months the warmer skies will have lights falling in the sky instead.
It took until mid-morning, but the sun did break through to shine on the new heavy hoarfrost coating. And with temperatures in the upper twenties, it was a nice day for a winter walk.
There was finally a change today away from the gray as the sun shone down on the overnight’s frost. But the morning’s sun rays melted the icy grip of the frost and it quickly began to fall to the ground in its own little snow storm.
It may be a new year, but this morning looked just like the past few frosty days so apparently Mother Nature didn’t get the memo about it being the start of a brighter year.
