Listening to music today looks a lot different (and smaller) than this old Edison Home Phonograph which was invented by Thomas Edison. Although Edison hadn’t intended the machine for music, when the machine was marketed in 1878, recording music became the most popular use and four minutes could be recorded on the wax cylinders.
