As warm spring days continue, the grass is growing, the trees are leafing out, more flowers are blooming (including all my dandelions) and now the apple blossoms are beginning to open up adding a different white than the snow from winter.

A walk on my trails this afternoon, when the temperature reached 55, felt like an early spring day except the remaining leaves on the apple trees were brown instead of green and there was no white blossoms or yellow dandelions growing in green grass.
Springtime Apple Trees
Last Sunday, the birds were enjoying sunshine among the apple blossoms. The last few days, the orioles have been at the jelly and sugar water feeders as well as hiding on the porch during the rain.

The sunshine this morning is rather deceiving. The sky looked blue and the sun was shining but the wind chill was rather cold and so there were no white apple blossoms or green grass to be found yet.

Patches of white can be seen on the ground but at least it isn’t snow, but white from all the blossom petals of the flowering trees which the strong winds blew off yesterday.
Apple Blossoms Before the Winds
I interrupted a pair of bluebirds while I was taking apple blossom pictures when I got too close to the birdhouse where they were feeding their young. But the splash of blue color looked pretty among the white and pink blossoms and new green leaves while they waited for me to leave the area.
