Summertime brings new young critters out to play like bear cubs, fawns, calves and kittens.
Summer Kittens
The wet day kept most of the critters out of sight, but at least it wasn’t snow. In late February and early March, skunks come out of their burrows when there is a streak of warm weather to find mates. And the other day, the odor in the air signaled their return. I don’t want to run into those smelly critters and rather see a different black and white kitty.
Black & White Kitty
With the start of March, it is time to test the folklore of “In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb” or “In Like A Lamb, Out Like A Lion” for this year. Except today wasn’t a lion or a lamb. The sun was out but below freezing temperatures although at least above zero so I guess it was more like a kitty instead of a lion.
