Some birds were upset when I was mowing as they were scared off their nest and I spotted some blue egg shells on the ground. These very young robins don’t look too cute as they wait for a snack from their parents.
Yesterday I spotted a male ring-necked pheasant trying to corral his chicks off the highway and back into the ditch and hopefully he was successful keeping them off the road.
More signs of spring are peeping, like the peeping chicks scurrying around for heat, feed and water. Another sign of spring was the first wood tick crawling on me yesterday.
There was new little feathered things exploring my lawn the other morning, but some were braver than others and the not so brave ones weren’t happy when mommy raised her wings as they no longer had a hiding place under her wing.
