Some people are enjoying the sunny autumn day to get some fishing in before the rain moves in, although it might be slippery walking down the cascades on the river.
Fishing is one of the outdoor activities some people will be enjoying this holiday weekend, especially on a nice early autumn day. While a lot of Lake Superior fishing is done from boats, there is some fishing from shore too.
There were people out fishing today on this hot holiday Sunday, although it might have been cooler to be in the water than on the water. I don’t know how many fish these guys caught but the osprey has a large mouth bass in its claws.
Fridays during the summer months means it is fishing time, even if it is just a few hours after work which may carry into the weekend for more lake time.
This weekend in Wisconsin, it is the free fishing event which allows everyone to enjoy the sport of fishing without the need of a license. Although there is no cost, that doesn’t mean you have to catch only the teeny, tiny fish which are barely bigger than the bobber.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the water has a strong pull to lure boys to play along the river water with activities like fishing, skipping rocks and catching tadpoles.
