The sun might be out today but it is not peeking through bright, colorful leaves as there are only a few brown oak and apple leaves left on the trees and it is not a warm sunshine either. Course I only have to wait another 10 to 11 months before seeing the autumn leaves again.

When the leaves on the ground start to outnumber the leaves remaining on the trees, you know winter is around the corner, especially when forecasting a snowy morning commute.
Fallen Fall
Yesterday was probably the last chance for maple leaves to have a golden glow in the filtered sunlight since the wind, snow and rain this week will likely strip most of the leaves off the maples and only a few hardly survivors left to wave at you on mostly bare tree. Maybe the bluebirds will head south now with the lost of leaves as they were still singing yesterday in the sunshine.
Catching the Last Golden Glow
The maples leaves are disappearing with the wind, robbing the trees of their glorious autumn displays and the ‘leaf peepers’ will have to wait another year to see colorful maple leaves again.
Vanishing Autumn
The recent rain seems to have washed the leaves and the leaves are now showing off their autumn colors in full force.
