I saw a little bit of the annular solar eclipse today before the clouds moved in. Although I could have only seen about 45% coverage from my location even if the clouds hadn’t moved in.
The sun was another pink ball in the sky as it has been for a while from the smoke in the air from the fires in Canada. I’m not sure when the winds will shift and blow the smoke away again to allow seeing a more normal sunset.
Sitting by a lake watching the sun drop below the horizon on a warm summer day is more appealing than watching the wind whip the falling snow on a cold winter day.
