Watching the snowflakes falling this afternoon in below freezing temperatures had me wishing for something else white falling, like a waterfall on a warm spring day. This waterfall sometimes doesn’t even flow in the fall so I rather visit the Now and Then Falls in the spring or summer.

Listening to the rain falling off my roof this evening sounds like a very small relaxing waterfall, and not a roaring one with lots of water flowing.

The small amount of water flowing down the falls would have increased to a greater and wider flow after this evening thunderstorms. On light flows, it could work as a nice little shower on a hot summer day.

On this warm September day, it would have been a good time to hike the shaded tree lined path besides a small stream to view a fifty foot waterfall and maybe catching some water mist too.

This late August day weather was perfect for a hike through the woods or any other outdoor adventures, like a hike down steps to see the upper part of Two Step Falls in Tettegouche State Park found in Minnesota along the west shore of Lake Superior.

The mist from a waterfall would have felt good on this warm, humid summer afternoon. The Manabezho Falls drops twenty five feet across the 150 foot width of the river, which in the late summer and fall, may form many little waterfalls compared to the springtime full rush of water.

After a stormy and rainy spell, it was nice to see some sun, but course I spent the morning picking up branches the storms brought down and spent the afternoon mowing the lawn. But some people on vacation or had the day off may have had time to enjoy some scenery including waterfalls, like the split of Bad River dropping down at Copper Falls.

This weekend was Wisconsin’s Free Fishing and Free State Park event so many parks and fishing spots were filled with extra people. And some wandered into the water and cooled off in the falls as they enjoyed the warmer temperatures.

The leprechauns would have been doing unplanned Irish jig on my cement as it was covered in ice this morning. It wasn’t a sunny, green day with lots of shamrocks to be found even though the ice melted after a while. Moss seems to be the only green outside right now and it can make a pretty green scene where it grows in the mist of a waterfall.

The water was really running off my roof from the melting snow and it wouldn’t take long to get wet standing under the roof edge but you still would get wet a lot faster from a waterfall, especially if you fell in the river. But maybe the snow will be all melted off my roof before the snow comes again.
